Assessing pain in non-verbal residents

1. Click on Measure in left side bar menu.
2. Click on Vital Signs tab.
3. Click on the resident’s name.
   
4. Click on Pain and scroll to select the input type.

5. For non-verbal assessment select PAINAD and open the assessment by clicking .

6. Select applicable non-verbal symptoms

- Breathing

- Negative Vocalization

- Facial Expression

- Body Language

- Consolability

7.  Click Confirm.

Once selected the numerical values will total to assign a pain number to the resident.

8.   Click Save to upload.
